His approach to the balance of payments is not that of many economists with their students; it is more "accounting and finance" oriented. Adjustment and liquidity are treated well though briefly, while the Bretton Woods chapter summarizes the Keynes and White plans and emphasizes the politics that surround international monetary reform.
