The aim of this is to review the whole range of salary administration practices and procedures available to management in an inflationary era within the framework of an assessment of the principles that determine policies and the approaches that can be used to remunerate staff. The first part of the book is a general discussion of the aims of salary administration and a definition of the various components of remuneration. The second part is exclusively concerned with salaries and concludes with a detailed study of procedures for conducting salary reviews and for controlling the implementation of salary review policies. The third part considers other aspects of remuneration, including bonus schemes, profit sharing, share ownership schemes, pensions and other fringe benefits.
