A paper prepared for the conference on "The Economic Crisis of the 1970's: Lessons for Stabilization Policy," Baden, Austria, September 15-17, 1977. Not for publication or quotation without permission of the authors.
In this paper the authors present and interpret evidence from Project LINK concerning the international transmission of economic fluctuation and inflation. Project LINK is a world system consisting of 31 linked national or regional models. Full-scale structural models are included for 13 industrialized countries and the less developed countries are represented by four regional structural models for Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Developing America.
