520			_aThis record of Proceedings of a seminar constitutes another volume in the series organized by the Centre of African Studies since its inception in 1962. The programme was also designed on this occasion to develop one of the aims of 'Hayter' Centres, namely to afford an opportunity for younger professionals to discuss their recent work and experiences in particular African situations. Three of the papers have been prepared by participants who have recently worked as economic advisers: Alastair Balls in the Tanzanian Treasury, A.P.L. Minford in the Malawi Treasury and J.G. Potter in the Zambian Ministry of Development and finance. Others include visiting speakers: Cyril Ehrlich at Makerere University College and Belfast and Douglas Rimmer at Legon and Centre of West African Studies, Birmingham.
