They picture the money market as composed of a core, of which the market for securities is by far the chief element, and inside and outside rings composed of other financial institutions. Particularly valuable for an appraisal of the future of New York as the nation's financial center is the summary of centralizing and decentralizing forces, the latter including such factors as the more rapid economic growth of other geographic areas.
