At head of title: 86th Cong., 1st sess. Joint Committee print.
"Materials prepared in connection with the study of employment, growth, and price levels for consideration by the Joint Economic Committee Congress of the United States".
The Chairman, Joint Economic Committee, Paul H. Douglas on January 21, 1960, submitted to Members of the Joint Economic Committee the consideration of the members of the
Joint Economic Committee and others the study papers 14 and 15, "Liquidity and Financial Institutions in the Postwar Economy," and "Profits, Profit Markups, and Productivity: An Examination of Corporate Behavior Since 1947." These are among the number of subjects which the Joint Economic
Committee requested individual scholars to examine and report on in connection with the committee's "Study of Employment, Growth, and Price Levels." The findings are entirely those of the authors, and the committee and the committee staff indicate neither approval nor disapproval by this publication.
