Bibliographical note": p. 176-178.
This little volume should prove to be very useful for students in courses in labor economics or economic theory in the junior or senior year. It is lucid and well organized; although the book is brief, the fifteen chapters provide a comprehensive treatment of topics in wage theory. Dr. Rothschild's stated objective was ". . . to produce a text-book on wage theory which, without laying claim to any new 'discoveries,' brings together the relevant developments in other fields with the hard core of traditional wage theory and thus offers a survey of the present state of the discussion" (p. v).
