Proceedings of the IFLA/Unesco Pre-Session Seminar for Librarians from Developing Countries, Munchen, August 16-16, 1983.
Includes bibliographical references.
Here is a collection of essays about university libraries in developing countries that constitutes a dialogue between Third World librarians and their Western counterparts. The fourteen papers were read and discussed at the IFLA/UNESCO Pre-Session Seminar for Librarians from Developing Countries held at Munich in August of 1983. Following opening papers representing the two perspectives of the participants, subsequent contributions addressed three general themes: acquisitions, information technology, and professional training.
