In 1959, the Twentieth Century Fund organized a Latin America study group which held a number of sessions and whose members contributed papers exploring some of the principal economic ideas and policy problems currently discussed in Latin America. In the present book, three countries are involved: Colombia, Chile, Brazil. Land reform, inflation, and a peculiarly obdurate regional problem compose the major portion of the survey. Through these lenses the author then appraises in general the potentialities of successful economic and political decision-making.
