This book gave a detailed description of the inflationary movement from 1939 to 1951, it also gives special attention to the effects of war expenditures, the price-wage spiral problem, policies of controlling inflation--monetary, price control and rationing--hyper-inflation, and the international spread of inflation. In many of these areas the author's clear analysis represents an important step forward in our understanding of inflation.
