"Proceedings of an October 1974 conference sponsored jointly by the American Enterprise Institute and the United States Department of the Treasury."
Bibliography: p. 377-413.
The book is the outcome of a conference sponsored jointly by the American Enterprise Institute and the U.S. Treasury and held in Washington in October 1974. The purpose of the conference was to "shed light on the role of the Eurocurrency system in affecting the workings of the international monetary system and thereby the problems faced by the national
financial systems". After an introductory essay by John Makin, which also serves as a summary of what follows, the book is divided into four main sections, each corresponding to a
conference session.
