This book considers the way the fuel and energy problem is being solved in the world in general and in the socialist countries in particular. It has six chapters which deal with the following in consecutive order: the energy problem: its essence and ways of solving it; energy difficulties faced by the developed capitalist countries; the energy problem in the developing countries; the development of the fuel-and-energy complex of the socialist community countries; cooperation of the socialist countries in fuel and energy; and broad international cooperation: the mainstream of efforts to solve the energy problem.
