The essays in this book reflect the experience of an international group of economists who had the opportunity of participating at first hand in the planning process in Morocco. Their stay was sponsored by the Center for Research on Economic Development (CRED) of the University of Michigan, and spanned the years 1970 to 1973. After which the idea was conceived of holding a conference at which Morocco's development problem could be analysed and discussed. The country's employment problem was then selected as a central and unifying theme. The book is divided into three parts: Part I. General Economic policies. Pat II. Sectoral Problems and Policies. Part III. Specific Problems and Policies.
