The volume grew out of a series of seminars given for the staff of the Center of Economic Research between November 1962 and February 1963. It is directed to the man of affairs, the general economist and the student of economics. It is not intended for the specialist in econometrics or statistics, but is designed to convey, in a relatively simple and non-technical manner, an appreciation of the nature, manner of use, and potential of the econometric model.
