This book seeks to explain the application in Cuba of the socialist distribution formula, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his work". In order to do so, our task is to study the origin of the formula, to describe its application in Cuba and the results obtained, and finally to evaluate the over-all results and conclude whether or not they have been beneficial to the country and its people.
