Summary: This collection of selected speeches of the Prime Minister, Alhaji the Right Honourable Sir Abubakar Tafawa Belwa needs no introduction because it eloquently speaks for itself. Although MR PRIME MINISTER contains mainly the speeches made by Sir Abubakar during his tenure of office as the first Head of Government of an independent Nigeria, it also contains a few speeches which he made as the Second Member for the Northern Provinces in the Old Legislative Council in 1949, as well as some of those he made as the Central Minister of Works and of Transport, in 1952 and in 1955 respectively. A brief chapter has also been included and devoted to TRIBUTES paid to Sir Abubakar in appreciation of his services to his country and to the cause of African Unity and of world peace.
