This study is concerned with why the pattern of capital formation has changed in Mexico since the Revolution (1910-20); the extent of capital formation during most of the presidential administration of Adofo Lopez Mateos (December 1, 1958, to November 30, 1964) and 1965 and 1966 of the present presidential administration of Gustavo Diaz Ordas; and the role played by capital formation in the country's economic growth and development during this eight-year period. This work attempts to show that the bases for capital formation, which were laid after 1910 , influenced the economic growth and development of Mexico during 1958 to 1966.
