Summary: The main text of this report consists of two sections. The first section deals with the desk utility of the programme to the participants. This is a measure of the extent to which the purely technical analytical tools and techniques and policy lessons can be applied in the performance of their respective schedules of duties. The second section of the report contains the group presentations on issues covered during the training programme. It also highlights their views with respect to the adequacy of the supply responses to the adjustment programme and the appropriate strategies for addressing some of the very basic macroeconomic policy issues in an adjustment programme.
