Professor Neiswanger has given a good and non-mathematical
exposition of the well known statistical methods used in the analysis of Economic data. In spite of the non-mathematical nature of the treatment Prof. Neiswanger succeeds in explaining the fundamental structure of the statistical techniques quite well. The book contains a number of examples worked out to illustrate the theory. They should prove very helpful to beginners. Professor Neiswanger gives a very good account of the theory and applications of Index numbers in Chapters 13 and 14.
