Bibliography: p. [162]-164.
This book examines the impact of the return of gold standard at pre-war parity in 1925 in Britain. It considers British financial policies of the twenties and thirties the significance that they have during the Keynesian revolution in economy particularly in the linking of employment policies with what had previously been considered purely monetary and fiscal matters. It also examines the interest and pressure groups involved, and the influence of such bodies as bankers, manufacturers and trade unions on the decisions taken at the time.
