The subject of this book is metaeconomics, rather than economics itself. The text is concerned with the methodology of economics, with how meaningful theorems are derived in economics. The author seeks to explore the mathematical structures which allow for the statement of hypotheses which are at least in principle refutable. The only mathematical prerequisite for the bulk of the book is one quarter of calculus.
