Summary: The objectives in this new edition are to expand the number and range of applications and illustrations of econometric techniques developed in the book; second, to extend the analysis to encompass the estimation of nonlinear models; and, third, to correct and clarify the treatment of some theoretical issues in the first edition. Consequently, the authors have incorporated into this edition several new examples of correlation and regression analysis and have added a new chapter, Chapter 8, on the estimation of nonlinear systems.
