The study is divided into three parts.
1. Bolivia as a country and how the previous feudal society was not sufficiently effective in providing the necessary economic and social benefits to a growing population, which led to the 1952 revolution.
2. Analyses of the effects of the revolution upon various sectors of the national economy.
3. Attempts to place the longer range and policy aspects of Bolivia's economic development in proper perspective.
