This is the report of a mission to Nigeria, organized by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development at the request of the governments of Nigeria and the United Kingdom. The task of the mission, as agreed upon by the two governments and the bank, was to asses the resources available for future development, to study the possibilities for development in the major sectors of the economy and to make recommendations for practical steps to be taken, including the timing and co-ordination of developmental activities.
