This book comprise of a set of papers prepared for the 1964 Conference of the Committee on Regional Accounts sponsored by Resources for the Future and published in book form by the Johns Hopkins Press, Baltimore, MD. The first paper urban renewal: objectives, analyses, and information systems, is by Lowdon Wingo, Jr. The second paper, Regional accounts for public schools decisions, attempts to provide a framework which 'centres on certain key questions that arise in public school decision making. The third paper, urban economic development, is by Wilbur R. Thompson. The fourth paper by Robert Herman examines state planning and development in a federal system. In the fifth paper, Influence of national decisions on regional economics, Hoffenberg and Devine explore further the differential impacts of federal policies on regions. The sixth and final paper is by George H. Borts, Criteria for the evaluation of regional development programmes.
