This publication is divided into three parts: Part One is the Introduction of the seminar. Part Two lays emphasis on energy use and energy conservation in human settlements; energy issues related to physical planning; "energy conscious" human settlements planning; national policies and strategies concerning energy use and energy conservation in buildings; improved energy budgets in new buildings; energy conservation measures for existing buildings; and perspectives for the year 2000. Part Three is comprised of the analytical summary of the seminar, and conclusions and recommendations. |
