This volume is a collection of new and previously published essays by Keith Griffin, Warden of Queen Elizabeth House and a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford University. The book examines international inequality and national poverty from the perspective of the international-structuralist, dependency approach to development studies. Griffin argues that in both relative and absolute terms, poor countries and poverty groups within these countries have experienced a deteriorating economic condition over the past two decades. |
