This is perhaps the very first book to deal exclusively with the cost control of process plant investment projects. We use the term process plant' in the widest sense, seeking to embrace not only the plants we find in the petrochemical, chemical, petroleum and gas industries, but also plants used for the manufacture of cement, glass, plastics, paper, sugar, synthetic fibers, foods and beverages, pharmaceuticals, the production of power (including nuclear plants), and metallurgical plants, such as are used for the refining of steel, copper, aluminium and other metals.
