Power Wiring Diagrams:
Dover, Alfred Thomas.
Power Wiring Diagrams: A Handbook of Connexion Diagrams of Control and Protective Systems for Industrial Plants/ - 4th ed. - London: Isaac Pitman and Sons Ltd., [1958] - 191 p.:ill,
Includes index.
In this present edition, the sections on control gear have been revised, and new matter relating to modern control systems for d.c. and a.c. cranes has been added. The section on welding has been re-written to include modern welding generators, transformers, rectifier equipment, and electronic and capacitive timing systems for resistance welders. The sections on relays and protective systems have been revised, and a selection of modern biased differential systems has replaced the older circulating current and balanced voltage systems. The section on automatic voltage regulators includes modern types, the compensation for voltage drop in feeders, the control of reactive current between machines operating in parallel and the functioning of the regulator according to the positive phase-sequence component of the system voltage.
