The tables of troubles have been prepared much as a physician would diagnose a case; the symptoms being known, the trouble, cause, and remedy are found by deduction. The diagrams of connections, especially those on industrial motor control, have been taken largely from the bulletins of various manufacturers, but nearly all of them have been used at various times by the author in connection with his work.
