This book is intended as an analysis of some of the channels through which the effects of monetary and, to some extent, fiscal policy are transmitted in the economic system. Starting from a micro analysis of households, firms and credit institutes, a micro model is constructed in order to discuss a number of problems in monetary and fiscal policy and analysis. The book deals with theory rather than empirical research.
